My parents have a pond in their backyard with goldfish and frogs. My Dad is particular about his pond and can tell when the rocks have been moved, usually by a raccoon looking for dinner. Sofia has spent a few afternoons scaring the fish by throwing rocks into the pond. She seems to get a lot of satisfaction from the splash and cheers loudly for herself. Dutiful GrandPops waits for her to turn her back then digs all the rocks back out and puts them back where they belong. Once Sofia see there are rocks back within her reach the cycle starts again. Sofia and GrandPops keep each other busy!
My Mom put a picture of Grant, Sofia, and I on the fridge and Sofia stops by a few times a day to say "Hi Papa" and give him a big kiss and big wave. When she wakes up from her afternoon nap she asks for her Papa, that's the usual time in her day when he comes home from work.
Believe it or not but my Dad, or rather Sofias GrandPops, let her splash her feet in his pond. I say that it is Sofias GrandPops that let her do this because my Dad would never let anyone splash their feet in his pond ... GrandDaughters have a special way with their GrandDads.
"Yes Sofia tomatoes are food."

"Yes Sofia tomatoes are food." Sofia has been picking and eating cherry tomatoes from the two bushes in my parents backyard. She didn't really like tomatoes in Victoria but I agree with her that Ontario tomatoes are the best to be had! Now if we could just teach her her colours so she'd leave the green ones on the vine.
We've been swimming at a friends pool a couple of times. Sofia likes to wear her sunglasses in the pool and left them on for almost 1/2 an hour. Once she's out of the water though the glasses come off. She's getting good at floating on her back and even kicks although it's with both legs at the same time.
