We're back!

The girls and I went to Ontario for a couple of weeks. We had a great time and I'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

Maizie is growing like a weed and is changing every day. I am loving being her Mumma and am amazed by how quickly newborns grow into babies. At 4 months Maizie has doubled her birth weight and grown 4.5 inches (13lb 4oz and 25"). Last night she rolled over from stomach to back all by herself, twice! She found her toes last week although they still haven't made it into her mouth and Grant put her in the jolly jumper for the first time last night. She hasn't figured out the jumping part yet but she was pretty happy moving around in it!

Sofia continues to blow me away... I have so much fun hanging out with her (oops I mean parenting her!) There are so many cute things that she says and I know they are fleeting so I'd like to remember some of them while I have a few minutes... When you ask Sofia a question she often responds with "How 'bout ..." the end of the sentence changes usually she responds favourably though. Accident is ack-i-nick and elevators are alligators. Remote is remope. She'll do anything to make you laugh especially when she's in trouble! It's hard to remember all the cuteness so I think I'm going to keep this post open and keep adding things as I hear them.

When there are somethings left Sofia says "There's more lefty" or if there are none left she says "There's no more lefty, honey"

Sofias big on making me smile or making me not smile whichever mood may strike her. But when she is proud of herself she says "I make Mummy smile?". I am working on her making herself smile because although I like the fact that she is trying to make me happy she will be a better person if she seeks satisfaction from herself and not others.

Sofias camera

(I took this one)
All the rest of these pictures were taken by Sofia with her new Fisher Price camera. She loves her camera and will say to me "wait, I need to take a picture" and then run off to get her camera. In the first group of pictures that I put on the computer she'd taken roughly 380 these are the best of those. There are a lot of black pictures since the flash takes a few seconds to be ready again and a budding toddler photog doesn't have a few seconds to wait in between exposures!

Christmas wrap up

Just a few pictures from the week of Christmas that I wanted to post on here.
Happy Birthday to me! Who knew that a wine glass could fit in the cup holder on the stroller. The safety sticker always confused me "Do not place hot items in holder". I didn't understand what was supposed to go in it, I mean if you can't put your coffee in there then why bother manufacturing them like that.... Now I get it! Maizie and I out for a Christmas Day walk.
My beautiful girls on Christmas Eve morning.
Sofia stole her Daddys hat!
Every time we asked Sofia what kind of cookies Santa liked her answer was "blue cookies". So Grant and Sofia made sugar cookies with blue food colouring. I wonder what kind of cookies he'll like next year?
Sofia helped me layer the Christmas lasagna. She was in charge of the spinach, zucchini, and mushroom layers and she did a great job at spreading them out evenly! It was just the 4 of us this year on Christmas day and I didn't want to do a turkey. I made up the lasagna on the 23rd and it got popped in the oven Christmas day. It was good and I won't hesitate to do it again in the future. It was so nice that no one had to be stuck in the kitchen cooking and there were no dishes to clean up.
